29 Weeks & Brandon's first rite of passage!

So this is a kinda fill-in-the-blank fun thing that I've seen on some other blogs that I'm going to try out...

How far along?: 29 weeks.
Total weight gain: Intentionally omitted. Let's just say that I haven't gotten in trouble by my doctor, but Travis sure has a love for some good fattening stuff. If he comes out with eggo hair and pepperoni rolls for fingers, I have no idea why...
How big is baby?: Books say 2.5 lbs, but I'm betting 3 lbs. We should get a better idea after our 3D ultrasound on Monday - so excited!!!!
Maternity clothes?: Most definitely. Still contemplating what I'm going to wear for the rest of the third trimester. About to outgrow two pairs of pants that Ms. Julie lent me.
Stretch marks?: None on the belly, but I'm thinking some on my bootie and thighs are hitting growth spurts of their own.
Sleep?: Umm, decent. Still getting up to pee a few times a night and my hips get pretty sore. THANK GOD FOR THE SNOOGLE AND A/C.
Best moment this week?: Going to childbirthing class last Sunday. I now have lots of new things to worry about. Brandon and I only got the giggles one time so I was pretty proud of us. I know he is going to be my rock during the whole labor process.
Movement?: T went nutty early in the week - lots of flailing movements, but I think he is hitting a growth spurt now and has gotten more into his routine. Although he was pretty active around 3 am last night.
Food cravings?: Well, dad and I made homemade waffles last night for dinner. If you aren't seeing a trend here, then you need some glasses. :)
Labor signs?: None.
Belly button in or out?: Flat.
What I miss: I haven't really missed anything, but I am looking forward to Potbelly and Coffee when Travis arrives.
What I'm looking forward to: 3D Ultrasound on MONDAY!!!
Milestone: Does outgrowing pants count? :(

A few weeks ago we put together the crib. I use the term "we" very loosely. :) We really weren't expecting it for a few more weeks, but it just happened to be in when we were finishing up our registry. We thought about just leaving it in the box for a little while longer (LIKE FOR A MILLISECOND), but then we had to put it together LIKE RIGHT THAT SECOND. A buddy of mine told us if we could reach to just put it on the lowest setting from the outset so we didn't have to disassemble it later on. We wanted to try this so we got to work only to find out that the instructions did not work on the lowest setting. VERY FRUSTRATING to say the least! Thankfully, the people at Lone Star Baby were awesome and were able to help us figure out the way that it needed to go. It looks great, and I'm glad that we will not have to move it in the future.

Action shot:

I mostly laid on the twin bed in the room and watched. Too hard to get back up. ;)

Here it is:

Try to ignore everything else around the crib including my lovely hairdo. :)

  2. What a cute crib! I love it! I can't wait until we put ours up.

E likes eggs and burgers and not much else.

And for the record, you look fabulous!

  3. Love your quiz - I'm going to "borrow" it! I guess we lucked out because we have a hadn me down crib and it's the only thing that we (I mean, Jarrod) didn't have to work on!
