I'm Eighteen Weeks Old!

On Monday, I went to my 4 month check up.  Boo because I had to get three more shots in my thighs and one more oral vaccine.  As I'm getting older, I've learned to milk it a little bit longer so I don't quit crying quite as quickly as I used to.  I weighed 16 lbs. 1 oz and was just shy of 26 inches.  My height and weight were both 75th percentile and my head was 95th percentile.  My doctor said I was doing good with my bobbly head considering my head is soooo big.  I've gotten so good at watching my peeps from across the room and following their every move.  I can put my hands together and my grip is really strong.  I stick everything I can get my hands on in my mouth.  I'm not teething yet, but just exploring with my mouth.  I really love this toy that my Auntie Dawn brought me for Christmas.  Mommy said that she will get my exersaucer out soon.  Don't know what she is talking about, but it sounds like fun!!

I'm looking forward to ringing in the new year with Grandpa and Uncle Mickey.  With my current sleep schedule, I'll look forward to celebrating with my Mommy at midnight in several different time zones.

A Relaxing Saturday in Lubbock...

With the Christmas festivities over until next year and still quite a bit of snow on the ground, we had a super relaxing Saturday.  We sewed, we farmed, we napped, we snuggled, and we wore our pjs all day.

What an amazing First Christmas for Travis!  God's blessings continue to amaze us during our journey.  We are so looking forward to all of the milestones and memories to be made in 2010.

Christmas Day

Santa visited Travis bright and early on Christmas morning.  While we definitely always want Travis to know why we celebrate Christmas and to understand about the birth of our Savior and the Christmas Story, we do look forward to him enjoying the Santa aspect as well. Santa brought Travis a few toys and a special letter.

Aunt Dawn and Uncle Carman and Cousins Jack and Caitlin spent Christmas Day with us.  So did Travis's Great Great Aunt Elva and Great Great Uncle Tommy - T was so excited to wear his cowboy boots that Tommy got him.  He looked too cute even if his little chubby legs wouldn't let us zip them!

It seems like after each nap, Travis came out in a new outfit.  We had lots of Christmas clothes to get through in a short time frame!

One more post to go!!!

Christmas Eve! Part ONE!

If Travis was dreaming of a White Christmas, he got what he wanted!!  We woke up to 5 or 6 inches of snow on Thursday morning.

Of course Travis had a snow suit JUST IN CASE!

After some snow fun, Kyler and Travis had a bath, T watched some football with his Pop, and T snuggled with his Aunt MoMo before getting ready for the night's festivities.

Christmas Eve! Part TWO!

Christmas Eve is just our immediate family which this year consisted of:  Lovey, Pop, Mona, Sonnet, Brad, Kyler, Grana, Sam, Grandpa, and Uncle Mickey.  We always do dinner, Christmas pajamas, and gifts on Christmas Eve.

Travis's jammies made him hot so he spent half the evening in just his diaper!  Much happier once the clothes came off!

What's that you say?  I get more presents tomorrow?  And Santa is coming to visit, too?  AWESOME!

Christmas Eve Eve...

On Wednesday (the day before Christmas Eve), we went to have our picture with Santa and visit a special friend in Lubbock before heading home to get ready for Christmas at Nannie's (this is Kelly's side of the family).

We stopped by and saw a longtime family friend, Lew Dee, for a minute so he could meet Travis.  We are sorry that we didn't get a chance to meet up with Diana.  We'll have to schedule it for next time.

At Nannie's later that night, Travis met all of his second cousins, and we were able to take a picture of Nannie and all of her great grandkids.

He loved meeting all of his new family especially Sassy and the twins!

As a hobby photographer, I'm sure I scrutinize my photos more than I should.  In the business, there is something they call something like "emotionally out-of-focus" where even though the picture itself is crappy quality, you can't help but love the emotion of it.  This is a perfect example.  This is Travis and his great Grana.
