Wow! I'm getting to be such a big boy. I can wave bye bye, wink, and clap like a pro. I can even give five thanks to Aunt Momo! I can also dance on command and have some crazy funky moves!! I'm also learning to feed myself with a spoon. It is a little bit messy, but I'm getting the hang of it. I still only have two teeth and am starting to think I'm gonna have to invest in some junior dentures! I have recently added spinach, apricots, and toast to my diet. I have a date with the allergist on 8/24 and am hoping to be able to add some more yummy things like cheese and yogurt.
I love to turn on and off all light switches and operate the sprinkler system and garage door with my dad. I say "dadadadada" when Dad comes in from work and when Mom is doing something to me that I hope Dad might rescue me from like changing my diaper or wiping my messy face and hands. I love ceiling fans and can point when you say "Where's the Fan?".
I might have a little bit of a temper as I occasionally throw my head back in total and utter angst. I can cruise along the furniture and often do a "no hands" stand as I just lean my belly against the couch or my play table. Sometimes I get shy when I enter a new room, but I've usually made a ton of friends in to time. My 5am wake-up time continues, and I still take two naps a day and go down for night-night at 7pm. I love to read with my Dad and get mad when he says "The End".
I'm generally a happy and easy-going little guy. I love to get showered with praise and thankfully my peeps oblige!
I'm about to be a big boy!

Travis and his Baby
Travis's "baby" usually lives in his crib, but he had just come out of the washer so we were totally cracking up as he flung him and then chased him all around the house. No wonder the "baby" ends up on the floor and behind the crib sometimes. If you know where the "baby" was purchased, we'd like a couple spares. He sure does love his "baby."
Travis also shows off his clapping and waving bye bye in this video. Listen for Travis's man toots about 1:19.

First Haircut!
Shaggy haired boy!
On Saturday, Brandon and I took to Travis to get his first haircut. I was a little apprehensive to make this "big boy" step, but wanted to give it plenty of time for the new haircut look to wear off before his 1 year portraits and birthday party. I found a children's haircutting place in Arlington, and I thought it was worth the $15 to turn his precious baby locks over to a pro. The little dude did great. He by no means sat perfectly still, but he didn't cry and didn't seem too fazed by the whole thing. We kept handing over cheerios to keep him still, and he totally hammed it up for the crowd. He is quite the cheeser!
We celebrated his new haircut with lunch at Jamaica Gates (as seen on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives) and a quick trip to Home Depot to stare at the lights/ceiling fans and pick up some sprinkler heads. I sure do love that little "big" boy!

Galveston ... Oh Galveston!!
We spent June 22-27 at a beach house in Jamaica Beach, Texas! Travis got to have lots of "firsts" while we were there, and I totally splurged on my dining opportunities as this was my first week off of my non-dairy and soy diet! I took a ton of pics, but just tried to post a "few". HA!
Travis enjoying the deck on top of the beach house our first morning. His usual 5:30 wake-up time was bested while on vacation with a few mornings of 4:45. No bueno for mom. He napped great while we were there so I didn't complain ... much.
Exploring all of the non-baby friendly items.
Loving the hammock. Looks like he is totally giving me an ear full.
T, Grandpa, & Uncle Mickey in front of Gaido's. Totally yummy!! Travis hadn't had a ton of restaurant experience since it was difficult for me to eat out so we weren't sure how he would do. Of course, he did awesome!! We entertained him at the table while we were waiting for our food, and then he ate while we ate. It worked out great the whole time! After his meal, he would loudly serenade the whole restaurant with his lovely vocal stylings. Our sweet waitress said she could hear him all the way in the back. :)
We spent an afternoon at Dunn so that Mickey could show T off. This is what Travis looked like the last time we were visiting!
We spent an afternoon at the Aquarium at Moody Gardens. Travis was able to follow the fish around, and my favorite part was the A/C.
Grandpa lugging T up the stairs. Lots of stairs.
Oops! Sorry Lovey!

BEACH DAY:
Kimberly, Tyler, & Elizabeth (T's arranged wifey!!) drove over on Saturday afternoon to spend some time hanging out with us! It is so great to see K and to watch the babies play together! We got some great nekkid baby butt pics to add to our potential rehearsal dinner slideshow. They sure have grown since we last hung out in February.
The idea of a perfect vacation is and will always be just hanging out with all of my peeps. Looking forward to Port A in a couple weeks with more of our peeps.
Awesome Fam!

Gara
