1 Month Birthday!

1 Month Stats - 10 lbs. 14.8 oz (90th) and 23 inches long (95th)

Baby Girl,
What a sweet blessing you have already been in our lives.  I can’t wait to share with you how your arrival into this world was such a testimony about the amazing and big God we serve, the love that your daddy and I have for each other, the beauty of Jesus friends (i.e., friends that love and encourage you through scripture and that share a love for our God), and the unexplainable relationship between your Lovey and me and now between me and you.  Although you have been around just one short month, already I cannot remember life without you.  My heart is so full with love for you and your brother (and your daddy!).
You have grown so much this past month, and I love seeing little snippets of your personality emerge (you appear to be laid back, but with your brother’s short temper J).  I feel so proud knowing that you are eating and growing and developing just like you are supposed to be.  I can hardly keep up with your brother’s constant development and changes so I’m trying to just soak you both in as much as I can.
Although I absolutely  love your sweet newborn feel and smell, I can’t help but be a little excited about seeing you grow and develop into a little lady.  I promise to encourage you to be a girly girl yet know how to change a tire.  I want you to take ballet and show steers.  I want you to find your Prince Charming one day, but until then, I wouldn’t mind seeing you in some karate classes just in case.  I want you to be able to cook a four-course meal, but not feel bad about having some take-out spots programmed on your cell phone.  If your heart desires, I’d love to see you excel in your studies and get lots of degrees only to stay at home with your beautiful children.  Above all these things, I want you to know and love our Lord.
In my daughter's eyes I am a hero
I am strong and wise and I know no fear
But the truth is plain to see
She was sent to rescue me
I see who I wanna be
In my daughter's eyes

In my daughter's eyes everyone is equal
Darkness turns to light and the
world is at peace
This miracle God gave to me gives me
strength when I am weak
I find reason to believe
In my daughter's eyes

And when she wraps her hand
around my finger
Oh it puts a smile in my heart
Everything becomes a little clearer
I realize what life is all about

It's hangin' on when your heart
has had enough
It's giving more when you feel like giving up
I've seen the light
It's in my daughter's eyes

In my daughter's eyes I can see the future
A reflection of who I am and what will be
Though she'll grow and someday leave
Maybe raise a family
When I'm gone I hope you see how happy
she made me
For I'll be there
In my daughter's eyes
Momma loves you!
