Maryn had her 9 month appointment on Wednesday. She was awesome. A little bit anemic, but other than that, super duper! 19 lbs. 15 oz. (60th percentile - it's dropped since she started crawling), and 29.7 inches (above the curve for height and .2 inches taller than her brother at the same age).
These pics are random, but so so real for our crazy life!
Notice anything missing from the above picture?!?
Travis's cymbals. He runs a mean marching band.
"1 ... 2 ... 1, 2, 3."
Travis used to always put his toes up like this too. Baby girl has some substantial little footsies!
On February 26, 2012, we celebrated Maryn's baby dedication at church. Literally three pews worth of family and friends joined us as we committed to raising our daughter in a Christian home. How loved is this sweet baby girl and how blessed are we to have such community! Pics of our post-church festivities will be on the next post. Pretty amazing to have more people at your house for this special day than Thanksgiving and Christmas. :)
Travis and I have been listening to these new Seeds of Worship cds (which we love by the way), and I love this verse for our committment to Maryn and God.
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates. Deutoronomy 6:4-9
Loved sharing the day with so many of Maryn's (and my) special friends! Love the Harveys and Timmons!
BFFs (and future BFFs). RG was dedicated at the 8am service, but we still scheduled a photo op!
How grateful we are for the amazing blessing that you have given to us in our daughter, Maryn. Your faithfulness has already been so evident in her life - from her conception to her delivery. Today, February 26, 2012, we dedicate her to you and pledge to bring her up in your Word and in your way. God, just as we have asked of you many times before, please bless this child. We cannot wait to see what things you have in store for her - may they glorify you always! We ask that you guide us as we parent her and that we teach her to know and love you.
We humbly and gratefully ask these things in Jesus's name.
I'm a happily-married super-blessed retired attorney who stays at home with the sweetest little prince and princess. I love God, my family, my friends, photography and design, shopping, travel, and some occasional tv.
