Love at first sight .... or maybe not!

Let me start off by saying that Elizabeth is even more beautiful in person.  Our first meeting was everything I hoped for ... until she fell asleep.  She didn't just doze off - she legitimately conked out.  Our mommies thought it was hilarious, but I was a little sad that I didn't get to stare in her pretty blue eyes more.  I swear I smelled a little nyquil on her breath, but maybe I am just that boring.  I must get that from my dad.

Here I am making my move - notice how sly I am to get my fat little arm around her.

This is where her drowsiness sets in.  My mom thought I was cute all dolled up in my first denim, but I think she may have pulled them a little high here.

Her hair smells delicious ... too bad it did not taste delicious.

Elizabeth is sooo over her visit with me.  I haven't given up though.

I tried to bat my eyelashes, but I got nothing.

No worries though - I still had so much fun that I puked.

Can't wait to see you in a few weeks at the aggie game!

Yours truly,
Travis

Monkeying Around in Texas City

Our weekend trip to Texas City was a huge success.  Travis traveled like a champ and it was great to visit Uncle Mickey.  We got to see where he has been staying and working.  This was also Travis's first halloween.  We almost went to Galveston for lunch, but we weren't sure if Travis (or us) was ready to fight the crowds from this.

Locked and loaded and ready to be put in the car.  Travis slept most of the way and we stopped once for Travis to have a snack.

We had several halloween outfits to work through over the weekend!

It is so funny to watch T's emotions swing so quickly.  He was just fine, but maybe a touch sick of the hat.

I'm pretty sure Travis will make us pay for this one day.  In fact, he is pretty much saying so in his look to his dad.

We got to take a tour of Dunn, and Travis even got to try his hand at this whole desk job business.

We spent the afternoon watching football.  Ags win!  Smiles ensue.

We were sad to leave, but are looking forward to seeing Uncle Mickey in just a few weeks.  Travis is working on his blog post highlighting his first meet and greet with Elizabeth - so stay tuned!

Nana & Papaw stop by!

Nana and Papaw stopped by to visit Travis and see how big he is getting last Thursday!  Papaw is going to have to start lifting weights if he is going to lug around Travis!!  Travis peed on Nana - a true sign of his affection.

I'm 9 Weeks Old!

Here I am at 9 weeks old!  Check out my bandaids.  :(  I just got back from the doctor - I'm going to start hating that place.  Mom said something about taking me for ice cream after visits when I get older.  Sounds like she is into bribery - works for me!

I weigh 13 lbs 7 oz (90th percentile) and am 23.5 inches long (75th percentile).  My head measurement was so big that the doctor had to double-check the nurse.  Just seems like I'm going to have a big noggin.  Mom lets me nap on my tummy sometimes since I'm such a big boy now.

I wear 1-2 diapers and have started wearing 3-6 month clothes.  Mom keeps having to retire more clothes because they get too snug.  Here I am in my first Gap 3-6 month outfit.  She changes me 3 to 4 times a day, but mostly because I pee, poop, or spit up on myself.  Oh well.  Spit happens.

I don't spend all my time sleeping anymore.  I like to play with my Whoozit, Freddy the Firefly, and this handsome boy that I've found to be my friend.

I like hanging out with my mom during the day, but I really like it when dad gets home.  My favorite pasttime is making faces with my daddy.  I'm trying hard to mimic his every move.  I smile at him and stick out my tongue at him.  I'm not sure who has more fun though - me or him.

I'm making my first road trip this weekend to my Great Uncle Mickey's in Texas City.  I'm excited about hanging with him and about meeting Elizabeth on Sunday.  Mom says I may marry her one day so I have to be extra nice.

Thrill Jr.

Happy 2 Month Birthday!

For his birthday, Travis was treated to breakfast in bed and a visit from his Pepper!

Here's his 2 Month Picture(s):

Click here for his 1 Month Picture.

Travis,

I love you so much and I am so proud to be your Daddy. Your Mommy and I have been praying for you for years before you were even born, and these past two months have shown us more than ever that God answers prayers. You are a special gift.

Watching you grow and change a little more every day is very exciting. You are now very alert and, at times (like bedtime), very strong willed. It is amazing to see little flashes of the boy and man you will become in the future. It is also unbelievable how handsome you are! Your Mommy and I are okay looking folks I guess, but you turned out to be beautiful.

As a new Daddy, everything I see or hear reminds me of you. One song that Mommy and I sometimes hear always makes me smile (and sometimes cry) because it makes me think of you. And it isn’t even a song about a child! But every where I go, you are with me. Everything I hear, see or touch reminds me of you somehow. The relevant parts of Wade Bowen’s “Who I Am” that we love to sing along to are as follows:

“I love you oh so very much, I love you more than words can say,
And I don’t know how or why, but I love you more every day.
I love to watch you laugh and smile, I love to watch you dream,
I love it when you take my hand just to let me know you believe in me.
***
Now that you’re in my life, baby, I know exactly who I am.”

Son, you truly are a blessing to me in so many ways. I can’t imagine my life without you.

Love,
Daddy

The Week in Pictures...

I spent some time last weekend kicking it in my Lovey's lap.

I modeled my outfit from the Campagnas.  I was super cute if I do say so myself.

I visited mom's office.  We love potluck lunches.

I snuggled with my daddy!

I perfected cuteness.

I hung out with my Grandpa.

I made my first trip to Costco.  In the past two weeks, I've been to Kincaids, Del Frisco's,  and Costco.  I'm such a big boy!

Later gator,
Trav
